The Story

I began my art historical journey after realizing that the life of a doctor just wasn’t for me.  Yes, I was a tragic Bio major who admitted defeat after one crazy semester. In my research, I mainly focus on The Spanish Renaissance and Dutch Golden Age (1500-1700) – two separate locations and slightly different centuries with some overlap, however, I do discuss art from all time periods. On this journey, traveling became both a necessity for my research and much-needed time to reflect and reset. 

As a budding art historian with a background in theology, I’ve served as a staff lecturer/educator and presented at several conferences nationally and internationally on my work. After getting the millionth question asking, “What does an art historian do, actually?” I decided to let people into the wonderful and sometimes anxiety-inducing world of which I’m enamored.
